I am currently in the process of applying for colleges, and so I was wondering: What colleges are you all considering, or gonna go to?

And possibly one more...

Well, that's a shocker.

I have already filled out and sent my application to Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. I'm also planning on applying in their honors program[which, if you graduate from, has a 100% acceptance rate into any law school].

The college I want to apply to the most refuses to answer my inquiries. I've contacted them several times... and once they wrote back saying "so sorry, we'll get stuff in the mail as soon as possible." It's been about 3 weeks and I haven't gotten anything.

I'm a little young (13), but I want to go to CCU, Colorado Christian University. I was wanting to go to Patrick Henry College, but their rules are really strict. (i.e, dancing is listed as a secondary offense :!: ) I really like the outdoors and hiking mountains and stuff, and CCU has tons of programs for that kind of stuff.

best. college. ever.

I'm somewhat constrained to the state of Florida by a full-ride scholarship sponsored by our local lottery. Both schools have debate teams, but I'm not sure I'll have the time to spend. :(

What a coincidence! Me too! ;)
When I complete my AA degree at Santa Fe College, then I'll hopefully make it into the University of Florida's School of Music.

That is REALLY bad, on their part. I'd say dump them. ;) It isn't meant to be.

That sarcastic comment was to imply that most NCFCA participating homeschoolers aspire to attend PHC.

Try a few more times. My soon-to-be college has been having trouble with their database, computers, etc. so they have been having trouble receiving apps properly. Ya never know.

Of course, you shouldn't try forever, so I'd say wait 2 more weeks then dump 'em.

I didn't participate in NCFCA. My older brother did it, and now my younger brother and sister are going to do it this year. However, you are correct in your main point. :)

Oh yeah, and a couple of my friends are trying to convince me to attend Evangel University. But.... I have a thing about religious schools. Even Christian college summer programs suck, mostly. I mean seriously, no piercings on guys, no unique haircuts, girls must wear skirts, guys must wear certain clothes, blah blah blah.

I would die.

Seriously?

I'm still doing research, looking for a med school, then looking for a college pre-med program with a good percentage of students that go on to that school, etc. Basically working backwards.

And I'm hoping Notre Dame's pre-med is as good as when my uncle went there :D ...

But I still have a year or 2 to figure that out...

UGH. I know. Then there are those Christian colleges where you see a group of girls coming out of their dorm singing Katy Perry. :P
