I dunno, the Colts defense was pretty dang good for the first 2 quarters. The Saints just have a slipper offense.

The Colts did okay in the beginning, but then Manning blatantly became really nervous during the 4th and it was apparent that he was off his game, as it were.

Don't blame it on Manning. He passed for 300 yards and one interception. Those stats will win pretty much any game. Blame it on the Coaching. The time management for the Colts in the last 4 minutes was ATROCIUS. I had never seen so much clock get wasted... especially in the Super Bowl. In a big game, you've got to be ready to make big plays. (Like for instance, open the second half with an onside kick ;)).

The Saints totally outplayed the Colts in pretty much every way. The only reason the final score looks close is because of the Saints jitters in the first quarter. Ignore the first quarter, and the Saints won 31-7.

If Manning is as good as all that, which I admit he did do a decent job for most of the game. He would have been able to hold his ground instead of getting distracted during the 4th quarter when it counted.

In other news, did anyone see that onside kick executed perfectly by the Saints? Beautiful!

Not perfectly, actually I don't think the Saints got it (look at the replays). But, hey, they came out with it and it worked.

I just wanted to make an announcement.

I absolutely stuffed my face watching the superbowl last night.

I had 2 cans of soda (that's like a record for me) a lot of chips, some reeaaally good garlic and spinach Digiorno pizza and one carrot.

Yes, I ate a carrot to assuage my conscience.

Psh. When you drink 4 liters of coke and 32 ounces of Rockstar, and eat a family-sized bag of potato chips and a pound and a half of hot dogs, then we'll talk. ;)

(I thought I was invincible in 2003. I really really did. I used to eat like that every day.)

Wow.

When you compare what I call "pigging out" to what I guy eats regularly...yeah...

I do eat more than my brother sometimes though.

In other news, I had a healthy steak and broccoli dinner, cleverly evading the broccoli but not the salad, while watching the Colts get pwned through the second half.
