yeah, I believe pretty much the same way Josh does.

I believe the Bible is fallible, too. That makes who wrote what extremely important.

But we aren't here to argue about who wrote the Bible. Besides Josh why should you care? The Bible is just another book to you.

I would appreciate it if you would stop misrepresenting my position. I have said explicitly a number of times (in threads in which you have been an active participant) that the Bible is not "just another book" to me and that I have a tremendous respect for the scriptures.

Additionally, I find it hard to imagine that you believe people do not care about the authorship of books unless they believe those books are infallible. You do not care about the authorship of any books other than the Bible? Confused

Ahhh, good point! When Paul (or whoever) is writting to Timothy, he is giving him advice about how to run the church which Timothy is either one of the deacons or elders. He is writing to fellow christians, so when he says that Jesus is savior to all he is refferring to those saved in Timothy's church.

I addressed the inadequacy of this interpretation this point two posts before yours (namely, it is blatantly refuted by the very verse in question).

This is an important discussion and I'm distracted here at Nats.

I'll post later.
